J.G.Hammig grenadilla wood professional piccolo # 2028 up for auction. This is the 750/2 model with silver plated keys & E-mechanism.
There are three different instruments produced in the same factory in Germany with the last name Hammig. The one sold in this country is also the less expensive of the three; Philip Hammig which re-tails in the US for $4,195. The next one up is Johannes Gerhardt Hammig (which this one is) and third and the most expensive is August Ricard Hammig which is listed here on eBay for close to $6,000 on a different auction.
