YAMAHA Xeno YTR-8335RII Reverse Leadpipe Bb Trumpet & Case This is an 18 month old Xeno Series II professional trumpet that has barely been used. Both the instrument and its Series II Xeno double case are like-new. It is a medium large bore (.459"), reverse leadpipe, yellow brass, one piece bell trumpet. This is a really beautiful sounding and great looking instrument. It produces the most lovely, warm, smooth tone with exceptional intonation and slotting. The Yamaha workmanship is sheer perfection, so the fit of the monel valves and tuning slides is amazing. The solder joints and lacquer finish are perfect. There are no signs of wear in the finish or any damage except for one tiny ping on the bell bow. (See photo 12) I am a professional player and have always loved to collect trumpets. (Too many of them according to my wife!) The time has finally come to thin the herd a bit. Even though I really enjoy playing this fine instrument, it has mostly just been sitting in a closet. It is the current and newest version of the popular Xeno 8335R trumpet. I had one modification done when I bought it. It has an Amato water valve added to the 3rd valve slide for convenience. This had no effect on the tone or response. The installation was professionally done and the valve looks just like it came from the factory. The very well padded Xeno II double case is likewise in perfect condition and has never left my studio. This case is unusual because it includes two regular handles, a detachable shoulder strap, plus padded backpack straps that stow away in a zippered compartment. Also included is the original, unopened Yamaha trumpet care kit that includes valve oil, slide grease, a polishing cloth and the owner's manual. No mouthpiece is included. This Series II Xeno features a redesigned one-piece bell, leadpipe, valve casings & pistons and the new style double case. The new Xeno's tone and response are outstanding, the resistance is more consistent between the registers and the pitch slotting, particularly in the upper register has been noticeably improved over the original Xeno. All changes between this and the original Xeno 8335R were made to improve the complexity of the tonal core, the ease of playing and the balance of resistance for better control.This like-new Yamaha Xeno II professional trumpet is being offered at a bargain price.
