This was a school bassoon. I used to teach music and know that they were made to play easily for beginners. I played it and enjoyed it, but just don't have any bassoon playing left in me. It is the bassoon, two bocals, a bocal bag, 11 new reeds, a new three reed carrying case, new string and new leather neck straps, a new seat strap, palm rest, cleaning swabs (new), and bocal brush (new). The laquer paint has worn through in a few places, and there are some scratches from use all around the instrument, but they are pretty minor overall. It has a serial number of 8430. The case is solid, but looks used. I hate to give up the dream of playing bassoon again, but I have to face facts, and I would like it to go to someone who will enjoy it. Well made bassoons are very hard to come by. The cheap new foreign horns have a reputation of being poorly built and impossible to play. NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING.
