This vintage roundneck resonator guitar is all original and in excellent overall condition. The 60 D OMI model was manufactured by Dobro from 1970 to 1993, at which time Gibson acquired OMI along with the Dobro name. The serial number is D 476 9 which dates it to 1979. The date 11/11/79 is penciled in the cavity (see photos). This instrument has been well cared for and very lightly played. I acquired it at an estate sale and have only used it a few times in my home studio and now it's time to let it go a new home where it will be more highly utilized. Condition wise, the neck is straight, the sound is bright and full and the frets have many years of life left in them. There are minor pick scratches on the resonator, some minor front and side surface checking and several blemishes on the back (those don't photograph very well). There is a chip on the topside to the right of the neck, where it was bumped against a hard surface at some point in time. I have tried to show all the imperfections in the pictures. The original case, which is also in excellent condition is included in the sale. The guitar is currently set up for normal style playing but another nut for easy conversion to lap style is included in the case. Please review the photos, ask questions and bid with confidence.
