DESCRIPTION - This listing is for a FENDER RHODES 73 Mark I Stage Piano. This particular unit comes out of the studio of producer Eric Rosse.

ACCESSORIES - Includes legs and sustain pedal (Note: The thumb screw for securing the legs cross-support to the chassis is missing. One leg thread cap has come loose, held fast by tape. Also the rear leg feet are missing). This item comes only as seen in photos, does not include any other accessories. PHYSICAL CONDITION - Excellent overall. There is a cigarette burn on the 3rd A above middle C key. The case tolex is scuffed and scratched. The tolex also has two rips. A 2" and a 6" rip exposing the wood underneath. For it's age it looks Amazing!
WORKING CONDITION - Good: The keyboard is in general need of setup and maintenance. All the notes sound, but several (mostly in the higher and lower octaves) are not striking unless the keys are pressed relatively hard. Many of the tines are not centered on the pickup magnets, needs to be tuned, and the whole keyboard feels quite spongy, which is very common for this particular model era of this series. It is also worth noting that this particular "black stamp 27 73" is considered the peak of Fender Rhodes sound and design after experimenting year after year. It was this year that they hit their benchmark sound.
Otherwise the keyboard seems to be in good working order, the electronics are working, the rubber hammer ends are in good shape overall, felt pads in good shape, etc, just needing some care and setup to be brought back into optimal performance condition.
