Please note, these bagpipes are offered for sale elsewhere, so I reserve the right to end the auction early. Plain turned African blackwood, very dark and beautiful. Fully mounted in imitation ivory, with button mounts, and flat top bushings, similar to a Glen style bushing. The pipes have no damage that I can see, and I have been over them with a magnifying glass. They are marked Kintail on the drones, but no date stamp that I have found. My feeling is that they are from the late 90s or right around the turn of the century, based on the amazing condition, and the L&M hide bag stamped 99 R (regular). The bag is in amazing, soft, supple condition, well tied in, and I freshly seasoned it with Airtight. I re-hemped the entire set, and threaded the drone reed seats to prevent any reeds dropping into the bag. I have taken it out to a few performances, and they perform flawlessly. Great tone, and a sound best described as pure Henderson. I put in a set of new Cleartone drone reeds, very air efficient, and a nice sound in these pipes. They will come with a Naill poly band chanter, and a padded soft case made by Tuxedo, a famous musical instrument case make. Black ballistic nylon, heavy zippers, and tough nylon straps. A gorgeous set that sounds very nice that is in remarkably good condition. Shipping to US or international. Please request international shipping quote.
