The Custom 24 is the original PRS€ guitar Paul Reed Smith took to his first tradeshow in 1985.  It is the guitar that put PRS on the map. This guitar is a workhorse that serve you well playing all types of music. A perennial favorite with musicians, this model features a Pattern Neck Profile, Stained Flamed Maple Neck and 57/08 treble and bass pickups wired for the redesigned 5-way blade switch, which offers a dual humbucker option. This one is lightweight at 7.2 lbs.   Other features include natural stained mahogany back, rosewood fretboard, birds inlays, PRS Tremolo, PRS locking tuners, hybrid nickel/goldl hardware, and 10 Top.   57/08 treble and 57/08 Bass pickups are covetted pickups. These are PRSs vintage-inspired pickups that were designed by Paul Reed Smith in-house to capture the iconic tones of legendary 1950s era guitars. Made with vintage-style wire and wound in-house in PRSs Electronics department to capture that vintage vibe with all the clarity that a modern player wants.
