1999 Breedlove S-Series SC22 CustomUnsold New-Old StockThe Backstory:Our small shop, located in Salt Lake City was one of the first Breedlove dealers in the region in the 1990s. We ended up shipping Breedlove guitars all around the country until the early 2000s saw drastic changes up in Oregon with Breedlove and we stopped carrying them. In the last two years, several of these New-Old-Stock Breedloves have been found in one of our rarely used stockrooms, along with several used ones that were traded back in over the years. Many have been sold but this is one that we finally got around to checking out, cleaning off, setting up, and listing for you all. This Particular Guitar:Beautiful inside and out. This S-Series custom features stunning striped rosewood back and sides and a classic sitka spruce top. Included with the guitar is its original purple-lined deluxe hardshell case and lock key. Nut width is 1-11/16". Deep cutaway and deep body- this thing can belt! Highly coveted nickel Gotoh tuners, very similar to those put on custom shop Fenders of the day. Breedlove's signature bird inlays down the pristine rosewood fretboard. Tortoise shell binding really adds contrast to her as well as a highly decorative rosette to complete the package. This is a truly stunning incarnation of one of Breedlove's most successful guitar lines, the sleek S-Series. This guitar was made prior to Kim Breedlove taking over the company, but shortly after Steve Henderson's signature stopped appearing on the luthier line, thus its old-school inner label bears Kim's signature only as the master luthier, right above their new Bend, Oregon factory's insignia (they moved from Tumalo). This is one of the last Breedlove's that we received from them and it has never been sold. We have gone over the guitar expensively to check for any age-related cracking or damage and she is still in fine fine shape with a fresh set-up. Flat shipping cost is charged to ensure the guitar can be insured to protect its value in transit. Should there be an overcharge, in cases such as domestic buyers in our Rocky Mountain region, or Canada, we ALWAYS return any overpayment.
