Description Brand: Martin
1949 Martin D-28 Serial . Now $7,499. This guitar was made in early 1949 and comes with a {hardshell case}. I was recently told by gruhn guitar that this guitar has had an old but well done refin and that it would sell for $10,000 in there shop. The "Bridgeplate" is original. There is some finish wear/discoloration on the back "side of the neck" (around the 2nd to 6th fret "no peeling or chipping") possibly from heat of some sort? other than that this is a very nice guitar with no cracks or issues. It is set up to play with low action. The frets are in good shape too. Along with a replaced pickguard and old style Martin replica long saddle bridge, the tuners were changed to open back Waverlys. This is a "Very Powerful" sounding guitar with lots of headroom like you would expect of an early 1949 post-war Martin D-28.Beautiful straight grain Brazilian. It plays like butter with no buzzes, lots of saddle height, and no neck set necessary, No Cracks. I'm setting the price for Less than what i think this guitar is worth but will except the Best Offer. Contact me directly for any questions. call/text and please leave a message 912-531-1480
