This is a MINT Holton H-189 Ethel Merker model 'Merker Matic' professional French horn. Wow! Introduced a little while back, the Merker model took the French horn world by storm with its newly designed 4th branch, dual bore construction, and new mouthpipe tapers that make this a very open blowing horn with great response and terrific legato. The H-189 features the extra large bell throat for a booming low register and a giagantic Mahleresque sound. This instrument is ostensibly a demo model but is in perfect conditon and I see no signs that it was ever played . Pics tell the rest of the story!
