Description
Robert Ruck Special Edition #6 out of total of 13 guitars of this model in ever built. These guitars are made by renowned Master Luthier Robert Ruck, with the outmost care in detail, woods, and search for sound. It takes Bob an extensive amountof time build the Special Edition Model, and he no longer makes it! It takes Ruck up to 4 times the amount of time of a standard guitar in his production, since the work in almost the entire guitar is done mainly by hand carving and traditional building techniques. It plays homage to the traditional great builders in history with a high level degree of precision and skill in his work. This instrument is "highly" collectible. So much so, that only a few dealers in the country are aware of this model. The guitar has an appraisal and description fromBob Ruck, and I am sure he would be more than willing to provide more information on its construction, value, and how rare the model is. The guitar has a AAAA-plus Western Cedar top, hand metered bindings along the entire top, sides and back, a majestic set of dark chocolate old growth Brazilian Rosewood, hence, darker than shown on the pictures. Brazilian rosewood bridge with Abalone metered bindings, an exquisite hand made rosette exclusive to the instrument, and a hand carved head plate which is also unique to Special Edition Model. Simply the highest level of materials and workmanship. This Special edition # 6 is in mint original condition built in 1998, and has had no repairs. Robert Ruck has provided me with a singed estimate of value and a signed description, which are both certified. It has an entire French Polish finish with hand rubbed shellac, and is fitted with Precision Rodgers Tuners with Mother of Pearl Buttons. As to the sound and playability, the sound of the instrument is simply majestic, big, round, loud, and expressive. No dead notes on the entire register string by string. The best I have seen from Ruck. It is traditionally fan braced, yet louder than some double tops in my collection. The playability is also spectacular, straight neck, low action, no buzz.Similar Special Edition guitars have been sold in the $30k thousand dollar range.NOTE:Immediate payment is required, the instrument will be shipped for a 24 hr. approval period after payment clears, the buyer must take all precautions to protect the instrument from any finger nail marks, scratches with shirt buttons, buckles etc. If returned, buyer must use the same shipping method used by seller, with the same insurance, and return the instrument in the exact condition in which it was received. Detailed photos and a detailed condition report of the instrument will be assessed before shipping, to be signed by the buyer and seller. This is a unique, one of a kind instrument, and precautions will need to be taken for protection of the seller and buyer. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions. I will be happy to answer them.
