Shipping and eBay
eBay is working hard to have all sellers offer free shipping on all items. In an effort to incentivize sellers to do this they are now charging us a fee not only on the sales price of the item but also the shipping charged to you the buyer. They don’t want us to make anything on shipping, but they themselves are going to make money on it from us! They want us to fold the shipping into the cost of the item, essentially hiding the cost so that it appears to be free. This, by the way, still gets eBay a piece of the shipping as we will still have to pay the final value on the entire item, now including shipping. As a seller that uses mainly Auctions, we think that this practice is not reasonable. We list many items at low starting bids and let the eBay community
