Recording King RK 36 Madison flathead 5-string banjo One piece flange Bone nut Mahogany resonator and neck Purchased new in 2012 Complete set-up including neck reset and tone ring refitted to rim by John Boulding in Mt Airy, NC. in 2013. Didn't like original fret job and had neck refretted a few months ago by Jeff Huffman in Smithfield, NC Banjo is set-up with a Huber head (A special Remo head with thicker frosting) and a Huber bridge. Really brings out the lower tones. Spikes installed at 7th and 9th frets This banjo has a nice pop to it and delivers a real punch without too much overtone. Banjo pickers have told me they are surprised at how much this RK 36 sounds a lot like an older banjo. You can probably buy a new one a little cheaper but it won't sound like this! No scratches or dings Slight wear on armrest Shipped in original hard shell case
