For Sale is an amazing sounding Groove Tubes Supre. I am reluctantly selling because of some unexpected bills. This preamp is the little brother to the legendary Vipre. Everything works flawlessly and has low hours on it. The VU meters are not reading accurately, but that has no effect on the sound and can be re calibrated with a tone generator. Great for recording or running your stereo mixes through to tame an overly bright mix!
Big tube sound from the guys who really know tubes! They've also established quite a reputation among musicians, producers, and engineers, for their fantastic mics and outboard studio gear. The little brother to the very popular ViPRE, the SuPRE is a 2-channel mic/instrument preamp with a clean, easy-to-navigate front-panel layout. Using four pentode/triode dual-element vacuum tubes, this unit provides 72dB of gain - plenty for your condenser mics, and very useful for ribbon microphones, which typically require high gain levels.
The SuPRE brings you many of the bells and whistles found on the lauded ViPRE. But with two channels, the SuPRE is great for stereo recording or for powering your drum overheads. Illuminated custom VU meters let you keep an eye on your levels. Perfect for everything from tracking to mixing to mastering, the SuPRE offers big studio sound at a price that certainly makes it approachable for home- and project-studio owners. Its sound quality and low-noise operation also make this preamp a great addition to your rig. The SuPRE also features variable-impedance inputs for microphone optimization and tone shaping, and it accepts mic, line, and instrument signals.
The Groove Tubes SuPRE 2-channel Mic/Instrument Preamp Features:
• Classic Groove Tubes sound from high-resolution tube signal path
• Variable transformer impedance settings on each channel
• High-quality Nickel core output transformers
• Mic and Line inputs on rear panel
• Instrument input on front panel
• 3-position attenuation: 0dB, 15dB, 30dB
• 75Hz high-pass filter
• 72dB gain on each channel
• Large, independently adjustable VU meters
