This Stratocaster has been a good friend for about 9 years now. I've not had to do anything but the usual string changes. I'm not a tinkerer, and it's always made me happy, so I've not taken the neck or anything else off. Only thing I changed were the strap buttons, but the originals are back on there now. Many gigs, late night jams, and trips around the country show in the finish, but she still plays like she should. I don't know what the finish is on the neck, but it has looked old since I bought it from another musician here in town. I do know there must be some kind of special touch to the electronics, as the tone is right on. Nice neck, and a good weight round out a nice Strat. Comes with what you see: the original case and trem bar. Only reason I'm letting it go is my hands are too knotted up with arthritis to play worth a damn and I'm tired of seeing this fine guitar sitting around. It's meant to be played.
