BEAUTIFUL YAMAHA YFL-581 (684) SOLID SILVER OPEN-HOLE FLUTE WITH UPGRADED EC HEADJOINT AND B-FOOTThis is a superb opportunity to acquire one of Yamaha's most sought-after models. The 581 was an entry level professional model made between 1984-2000 and has since been upgraded to the 600 series (684). The body is solid silver throughout, the holes open with inline G and the keys and mechanism are silver-plated with french pointed key arms and drawn tone-holes. This particular model has the upgraded EC headjoint which is a superb upgrade. The EC head is the most popular of the headjoint cuts with a very responsive lip plate, cut with a more vertical shape from the edge of the embouchure hole. The body is very well constructed and the mechanism light and accurate with white gold springs. This particular model not only has the upgraded headjoint but also benefits from a B-Foot, an expensive upgrade on these models. This of course allows an extra note in the range and as the flute is very slightly longer, adds to the weight of sound delivered .
