This amazing PAF is 100% original, this pickup sounds absolutely magical. This is a VERY RARE "low wind" PAF reading at 5.60k - this would make an ideal neck PAF pickup for your restoration, replica or R9
Some of the our favorite vintage PAF's have been of the low-wind variety (around 6k) - they make amazing neck pickups - think of the output of a vintage Strat or Tele but PAF in tone and you get the idea of this pickup - a true low wind PAF is far more rare than a hot 9k pickup, so if you've been looking for some soul-drenched tone that will give you plenty of headroom and clean tones hitting your amp, look no further.This is a "narrow spaced" PAF - commonly found in the neck position of a vintage Gibson L-5, Super 400, Byrdland or ES-350T.
They function perfectly in the neck position of any Les Paul or other solid body Gibson.
This example includes it's original gold cover, worn down to the nickel plating
