It still has about 90% of its original lacquer, which has a beautiful amber color. The s/n on the neck and body match. The horn just received a top of the line Eric Beach overhaul. He used Pisoni Pro pads and plastic resonators. The horn feels incredibly even and tight, and plays through the entire range with ease. It looks like some light dentwork has been performed in the past, but as you can see in the pictures, there are no dents currently. The neck was adjusted by Tenor Madness and is perfectly aligned and dent free. The neck has the matching s/n. The sax comes in the original Selmer case.1965 is a great year for Mark VI tenors. This one has a very fun balance of power and punch, along with the complexity and core of a good 5-digit Mark VI. This tenor sax was produced in the same year and factory as John Coltrane's Mark VI tenor that he played on his later albums.I invite you to try this horn risk free. US buyers are free to return the sax for any reason, provided you pay shipping and insurance both ways.
