1988 Gibson Les Paul Custom Showcase edition Gold Top. The showcase edition models were a "Guitar of the month" series. There were only 200 of each series made to be sold in the U.S. And another 50 to be sent over seas. Great investment at this price! This Gibson came from the factory with EMG 81's and all black hardware. The bridge pickup is the original one, but the neck pickup quit working and was replaced with the same pickup. Sounds amazing! It has been played, but is in great condition. One small surface nick on neck that is barely visible and can't really be felt while playing. (see pics) Frets show next to no wear. No visible nicks or dings on the back or body, very few light scuffs on back from being worn while played, although the word buckle rash is too harsh of a word for it, more like swirl marks that wouldn't show up in pics. Neck is straight, action is great and it plays like butter. Slim neck. It will come with COA and original brown case with pink fuzz and thick fuzzy shroud. .
