UP FOR SALE: My beloved Vintage Neumann SM2c, serial number 401. This GORGEOUS looking and sounding mic was made in 1956. Every part of this is original including the Neumann hanger or mic clip. This mic has recently been serviced and upgraded to a "C" version. I have used this mic a bunch and she is quiet, versatile, and stunning. Happy Bidding! The Stereo Condenser Microphone SM2 is a top flight studio microphone. It features the outstanding qualities inherent in condenser microphones and their great versatility enables them to be used for solving the most complex recording problems. The SM2 is equivalent to two multi-pattern KM-56 microphones, complete with a pair of AC701k tubes and dual-diaphragm nickel-membrane capsules. The coincident stereo arrangement allows convenient and phase-coherent positioning. If stereo is not needed, one side may be used alone as a perfect equivalent to the KM56. An excellent performer on acoustic instruments, ensembles, and anywhere the absolute highest-fidelity small-diaphragm condenser sound is desired. The first stereo studio microphone in the world.
