A USA made Gibson Songwriter EC Special series acoustic electric guitar made and thanks to another ebayer - "Based on the interior label, the Gibson Songwriter EC was made on February 22, 2002, and was the 25th guitar made on that production day. Shiny black lacquer finish with mother of abalone inlay. The headstock looks excellent – I note it could use a good dusting – and the Grover gold toned tuning pegs could use some polishing. The frets and fretboard look good again could use a dusting. The front and back of the body look great. I note only a few extremely minor dings on the back and a few scuffs on the pick guard and some minor abrasions on the front of the body. . I’ve photographed the areas where the black lacquer has chipped – two spots typical from play – where your hand would hold the headstock – on the back edges and on the very bottom of the guitar probably from a rough stand. There are some scuffs in the lacquer where some of the joints meet. Most importantly though the guitar plays smoothly and sounds exactly like a Gibson should. The guitar clearly was not played a lot since there are virtually no dings anywhere. The serial number is 00532025 and is also engraved into the neck so body and neck match. Comes with Gibson Acoustic hardshell case which says it was made in Canada- which I note has some rough edges and scuffs and also could use a good dusting. The Songwriter EC Special Acoustic-Electric Guitar has a classic Gibson square shoulder dreadnought body with a soft cutaway for full fretboard access. It features a premium Sitka spruce top, mahogany back and sides, plus a rosewood fretboard and bridge. On-board LR Baggs electronics make the Songwriter EC Special ready for any gig.
