Up for sale is this killer '74 Fender Jazz bass from their American Vintage reissue series. As with the other guitars in this lineup, Fender really knocked it out of the park on this one. Featuring a natural finish on a deeply grained ash body, as well as a Rosewood fretboard with block inlays, this bass does more than merely capture the essence of the original. All the elements reflect the careful study of the Fender designers to match as closely as possible the specs of these original models. Reflecting as it does '74 specs, this bass features a four-bolt maple neck on an offset-style ash body. The neck fits very tightly in the neck pocket, helping to maximize sustain and tone. All the metal hardware shows very little wear, and overall the bass is in excellent condition. There's almost no fret wear, except for some tiny marks on the first through third frets. The bass have seen very little use, and overall condition reflects this fact. The guitar looks completely stock except for perhaps a couple screws. The only other thing to note is that this bass came to me with a an additional pearloid pick guard, which required two small holes to accommodate a different screw pattern. This additional pick guard will be included in the sale. The stock Fender Pure Vintage pick guard is back on. The bass was manufactured in 2013. Price is $1599. Shipping will be $49.99 to the domestic USA.   Here are the specs straight from Fender.
