Estimated price for orientation: 999 $
Category: Other Vintage Guitars
Class:
Description Brand: Kay MPN: Does Not Apply Model: W-8 Country/Region of Manufacture: United States Type: Acoustic UPC: Does not apply
Includes softshell case as shown. I don't know if the case is original but it came with the guitar when I bought it.All original and in excellent shape. No damage, repairs or other issues, just some superficial marks here and there from use. The guitar is setup and ready to play. There is no serial number on the guitar.I believe this guitar might be from 1967-68 after Kay and Valco merged. Earlier guitars like this that I've seen have a "gumby" headstock and this looks like a standard Kay headstock. I haven't been able to find another guitar like this one with this headstock so this may be a bit rare. Kay and Valco (Supros parent company) merged in 1967 and went out of business some time in 1968.The original dealer sticker on the back of the headstock is from Campbell's Music in York, PA. I know the Campbells and their shop opened in 1964. For them to have sold this guitar new it must have been made between 1964 when they opened and 1968 when the Kay/Valco/Supro company went out of business. Free shipping within the continental USA only.Rhoads Music, dealing vintage gear since 1989.
