Own a piece of American rock and roll history. This all tube Ampex 354 is in great working shape, it turns on, pulls tape and passes signal just fine. Some of the fine adjustment potentiometers are scratchy and the machine probably needs alignment and cleaning to be 100%. The machine runs at 7.5 or 15 ips. Heads are looking good, unit was recently serviced by Michael Gore in SF (analogrules.com). Many people are just using the amplifier section of the 354 as a pre-amp. It's a tube stereo unit, two xlr in and out. IF YOU WANT THIS SHIPPED -- I will remove the tape machine and amplifier from the wood case and ship separately. I WILL NOT SHIP THE CASE UNLESS THE BUYER PAYS SHIPPING. Due to the age of the unit, I am not accepting returns on the unit, but I can answer any questions you may have before the sale.
