Metric Halo ULN-2 +DSP Interface 24-bit, 96kHz Firewire/Thunderbolt Audio Interface w/ Hardware DSPFirst, this box sounds amazing.  The mic pre-amps and converters are ultra low noise w/ tons of headroom and gain.  This was my front end for hundreds of orchestral recordings which are always the most demanding sessions.  The huge dynamic range requires a dead quite noise floor with linearity throughout the gain range.I've since moved on from day to day session work and am clearing out my recording closet.  Take a look at my other auctions for Earthworks mics, other interfaces, stereo mics, etc.The ULN-2 is a Firewire interface but works w/ all Thunderbolt equipped Macs via the Apple Thunderbolt to Firewire Adaptor.  I'm including that adaptor as well as a Firewire 400 to 800 cable.  I've been using the ULN-2 on my Macbook Pro Retina (early 2015) on OS X 10.10.5 and Logic Pro w/ no problems.  Having separate Monitor and Headphone outs is super handy and both sound great.  The Headphone amp is very powerful and can drive high impedance headphones, like Sennheiser HD650's, without a problem. The digital I/O is very flexible and the Wordclock I/O (both 1x & 256x) is a life saver with multiple pieces of digital gear. The built-in DSP and plug-ins are just the cherry on top.  The reason I've kept this box around so long is because of the TransientControl, "Character" settings and flexible routing.  It's basically the equivalent of $10k worth of Mastering gear in a portable interface.  I did all my freelance post production work through this box and the only thing I missed from the pro mastering labs were the speakers : )Here are a few more professional features that you won't find on other interfaces:- Stepped gain w/ trim pots that can switch out of circuit (so amazing!!)- 72dB of Gain- Balanced inserts on both inputs- Full spec Phantom Power (you wouldn't believe how many interfaces use +36V phantom. Earthworks mics won't work on anything less than 48V/10mA)- Configurable AES or SPDIF inputs (no one seems to include AES anymore!?)- ADAT I/O is great for expanding I/O - Standalone mode.  A real, useful standalone mode.  Configure it as a stereo mic preamp with a limiter strapped across it to protect for overs.  Ready for analog inserts (EQ, compression, etc).  Monitor through the headphone. Output the signal in multiple digital formats for back-ups.  All without being attached to a computer.  As I'm writing this I'm wondering if I should actually sell this box....oh, well. What's Include:- Metric Halo ULN-2 +DSP- 24V, 48V, 4-pin desktop power supply- Firewire 400 to 800 cable- Apple Thunderbolt to Firewire Adaptor- Rack EarsAs this is a used piece of equipment I cannot offer any type of warranty or guarantee.  But I can say that I've tested each audio interface via a loopback test and verified that all pass audio.  Please feel free to ask any questions.  Thanks, Tom.
