This No Reserve auction, is for a vintage 1963 Rogers model # 25 "HOLIDAY" snare drum..The serial number on the inside label is # 16759.This drum has a shell that measures 5" deep x 14" wide, and is constructed out of multiple plies of maple, even the reinforcing rings are constructed out of maple plies. The interior is factory sealed in Rogers light grey "resocoat" enamel.The exterior is factory wrapped in Rogers original "mardi gras" plastic covering. As you can see from my photos, the wrap is in terrific condition, and it has a monster high-gloss shine to it. A dealer label from an old music store was glued to the shell, just below the Rogers "script" logo, the label has disintegrated, but the glue residue is still there ( see picture # 11). There are no extra holes or modifications to this beautiful drum.This beautiful drum factory outfitted with eight, flawless Rogers "bread & butter" lugs, two Rogers triple-flanged "tall-boy" hoops, 16 original Rogers tension rods, a Rogers " Swivomatic " strainer and butt plate, and a Rogers internal muffler assembly. All of the metal fittings, except for the badge are beautifully chrome plated, and every single part is beautifully polished. This amazing drum was originally part of a Rogers "Celebrity" drum outfit. As a result, a Rogers Swivomatic collet plate has been factory installed to allow the user to easily attach this snare drum to the bass drum shell, without the use of a typical snare drum stand.A brand new REMO ambassador drum head that has been custom-imprinted with the Rogers factory logo, has been installed on the batter side of this drum.
