G&L L2500 USA Bass Sunburst 5 String Late 90's / Early 2000's. Serial Number CLF19621. Very good condition though there is some checking in the finish between the neck and neck pickup, the usual minor scuffs / dings and the volume pot is scratchy on occasion but not once the volume is set. When I got it in 2004 a tech sprayed them and it went away for years. Minimal fret wear, hard to see any wear on most frets actually. I played guitar in bands all this time and this bass was bought for recording so I played it about 20 hours a year, some years didn't touch it at all. Beautiful, dark, rosewood fingerboard with 3-2 head stock. Truss rod works. Had pro setup 7 or 8 years ago and then I tweaked the truss rod a 1/4 turn every 6 months or so. This is a USA model and comes with a CTM (Case The Music) gig bag which is 20 years old and has seen lots of action. Its has the Renaissance design. Reason for relisting is because I don't have the other case in my possesion so selling with gig bag instead.
It plays great and sounds like a beast. All the strings sound balanced and each note on the fretboard rings out clearly. It gets an amazing array of fat sounds, P bass, J bass and StingRay like tones as well as that classic G&L dual pickup sound. Responds well to fingers, pick and slap. Pickup selector, series/parallel switch and passive/active/treble boost switches. Volume, bass and treble knobs. Strings through body option, currently strung through bridge with Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinky 130-105-85-65-45 round wound strings that are fairly new. Bought from a hobbyist in 2004 and I gigged with it twice since, used for recording which it tracks very well. Message me for sound files of the bass. 100% positive feedback on eBay since 2000.
