Description
Buffet Albert System Bass Clarinet. No serial number. Low pitch. This instrument is being sold on consignment and belongs to the great grandfather of the consignor - it is definitely over 100 years old. Bell and body sections are clearly marked with Buffet's marking. This instrument is in excellent condition. It doesn't look like it was ever used. It was also completely reconditioned by the clarinet specialist here at Meridian Winds, and has all new white roo pads. It is in excellent condition all around - needs no repair. It has the original case, which is also in great condition, but the leather on the exterior is worn due to age. It has a mouthpiece that is unmarked and does not appear to be original. In the 40 years Meridian Winds has been repairing instruments, we have never seen another one of these. It probably belongs in a museum. |
