Gibson Thunderbird Bass Vintage Sunburst
First issued from Kalamazoo in 1963, the Thunderbird Bass was the only bass produced by Gibson for some time. What else could you possibly need? The zig-zag body design came from Detroit auto-designer Ray Dietrich in the same spirit as the rumbling muscle cars that ruled the road at the time. The full contact bridge preserves every last string vibration for a wide range of unique tonal possibilities. It’s distinct look, legendary tone have remained a staple to this day.
