For me this is one of the most iconic looking Gibson acoustic guitars - a square shouldered dreadnought with a three point tortoiseshell pickguard which contrasts beautifully with the natural top which has turned a rich honey colour, and eye catching pearl split parallelogram fingerboard inlays. Also it's unusual to see such a beautifully figured Mahogany back. This guitar has all the unmistakable characteristics of a 60's Gibson dreadnought which makes them sound so iconic sounding, when you start playing your mind starts racing as it sounds like so many of the great 60's recordings - mellow, smooth, warm and rich. The bound neck makes it feel very easy to play, not as slim as some of the late 60's Gibsons, and the action is set just right. The guitar is in very good, all original condition - although the original adjustable saddle has been upgraded to a fixed bone saddle - with no cracks or repairs, just lots of cool looking lacquer checking, a few light scratches and good honest playwear. It has an active pickup installed which sounds great plugged in, and comes in it's original hard case. To see higher definition pictures of this guitar please go to glennsguitars.com
