Description
Brand: Conn Trombone Type: Bass

The fine item you are considering is a Vintage 1967 Conn 72H Bass Trigger Trombone. I have lots of photos below, so be sure to scroll down to the bottom of this page to take a better look. This nice vintage trombone from Conn looks to date to 1967 to me (K prefix on the serial number) and is in overall good shape, with the slides feeling good, and the horn showing only typical light dinging/denting, but nothing bad. There’s also plenty of finish wear in areas, with some minor areas showing oxidation, but overall the horn looks to have been well cared for. I had a question about the condition of the slides, so I added three photos below showing the stockings: They look very clean except for a very few, very tiny areas that show some minor wear (I included a close up of one small area of wear below). I do have one concern, and that’s that the finish color on the slide section doesn’t look to quite match the finish color on the main body of the horn. Both the main horn body and the side section are marked “72H” so they are both correct for a 72H, and while I can find a serial number on the slide section, I don’t see a serial number on the main horn section to definitively match them together. If anyone can tell me where the serial number might be on the main horn section, I’d be glad to look and see if they match (that is, if they put a serial number on the main horn section). The horn comes with the original case which shows plenty of wear, and the two side latches are no longer functioning, but the center latch does stay closed. The horn also comes with a vintage Bach 1 ½ G mouthpiece. Please see my photos below to have a look at this nice item. Winning bidder/buyer pays $54.00 shipping and insurance in the contiguous U.S., plus $4.00 for packing materials (bubble wrap) with shipping to Alaska and Hawaii most likely costing more (if you are in Alaska or Hawaii, please contact me for a shipping estimate). Foreign bidders/buyers pay costs as per eBay's Global Shipping Program. We now accept PayPal. Due to the large amount of items I now auction, I can unfortunately no longer allow in person pick up of items. My return policy is that returns are only accepted if I made a mistake in the listing, not disclosing a serious issue with the item, in other words, if the item is substantively different than as described in my listing. Thanks for looking, and happy bidding/buying!
