Hello Gibson manufacturing fans.  This is a Gibson A style 8 string mandolin.  These "A" style mandolins were made by the Gibson Manufacturing Company from the years 1914 to 1919 or so.  The mandolin has The Gibson manufactuers warranty label on the inside directly under the strings as seen in the 3rd and 4th photos.  The instrument is in excellent playable condition and is stored in a smoke free/pet free location.     The mandolin is about 25 inches long with a 10 inch fret board and the widest point on the body measures 10 inches on a carved top and back.     There are a few minor scratches on the back as seen in the last photo with a manufactuers "nick" on the front body as seen in the 5th and 6th photos.       The tuning pegs are all original stock and may be ivory and the sound hole on the body is surrounded by purling as seen in the photos.     Other then the few minor nicks and scratches, the mandolin is in excellent playing condition and produces the sound that only the early vintage Gibson mandolins can produce.     There is no case for the mandolin and winner to add 15 pounds shipping as the mandolin will be double boxed for shipping purposes.  Credit cards accepted through paypal.com.
