A good antique french violin made after Stradivari circa 1930.Good antique french violin made after Stradivari circa 1930. The top is made of two parts of spruce of regular and straight grain lines. The back is made of two pieces of nicely flamed maple, the curl horizontal. The ribs, neck and head are of the same wood. The oil varnish, of excellent quality, is of an orange-brown color and entirely original. The work is very good, the purfling regular, the button of the neck well rounded, and the violin even kept its original rosewood pegs.The violin is in an excellent condition, without any crack, just a few scratches on the varnish. On the inside back can be found a label of "Copie de Antonius Stradivarius Cremonensis faciebat anno 1721".The violin has been entirely revised and set-up, including a new rosewood tailpiece with ebony fret, a rosewood chinrest, a Despiau bridge and Thomastik Dominant new strings set.The sound is of the highest level, deep and brilliant, projective and powerful, a fantastic french concert violin that you will love.Dimensions are the following :LOB : 356 mm.Upper bouts : 166 mm.Middle bouts : 113 mm.Lower bouts : 205 mm.The instrument comes with a new rectangular case.
