You are looking at an super clean, all original and rare 81' JCM800 1959 100w Super Lead. These amps have unusually low production numbers... In mid 81' as Marshall was building the last of the JMP Super Leads they were simultaneously rolling out the JCM800's... In order to effectively use all of the JMP parts inventory they built them into these JCM800 chassis and head cabs... This particular beauty is all original as it shipped from England in the summer of 1981. Original General Electric 6550 power tubes, Tungsram ECC83 Pre-amp tubes. All Drake transformers and choke are date coded as are the Daly multi stage filter caps... Amp is unbelievably soulful and loaded with gobs of tone. This is a real plexi circuit 4-holer with ungodly headroom. Amp has been checked out and after 35 years all it needed was a slight bias adjust. Everything is 100% stage and/or studio ready... This head is a snapshot in history of the best of what Marshall was doing back then...
