This is the new SRS808 Acoustic Electric Guitar from Maton and its a beauty!The Maton SRS808 has been hand crafted with a solid Western Red Cedar Top and Solid Victorian Blackwood back and sides. The SRS 808 is a wonderful sounding guitar with the combination of Cedar and Blackwood (same genus as Koa) coming together to deliver a rich, and balanced tone.Maton have completely rethought the way they brace their guitars and the SRS808 features a forward shifting of the X braces and the shifting of scallop peaks to nodal points around the soundboard. These changes have resulted in a tremendous enhancement in the way the top vibrates. The shifting of the X braces has also allowed the inclusion of a second, parallel tone bar which allows the scalloping of both tone bars, thereby spread
