Vintage Altec 458A Preamp Module (A)This preamp is in fair working condition. One of the peerless electrical transformers has been replaced with a Sowter 9050a transformer. The original electrolytic cap can has been replaced with a Sprague Atom capacitor internally. The signal is clean there is a normal amount of gain. The noise floor is fairly high, with some 120Hz hum and some RF interference.
