A now rare 23-inch copper (not fiberglass or aluminum) bowl machine drum. The copper is in good condition with no major dents. A few “pops” and cosmetic dents and scratches remain, but overall the bowl is in very fine condition, and it has been polished and re-lacquered. This drum originally mounted a 24” counter hoop, but a 26-inch counter hoop is currently mounted on the drum to give more resonance. The tuning lugs have been built out to accommodate this larger hoop. The drum now has a new 2600 Remo head. The drum comes with a felted head cover, a tuning handle, and a Ludwig tuning gauge. The tuning gauge has a repair to one of the aluminum “wings” and the brass tuning designators are missing; however, the gauge pointer works well, and tunings could be indicated with masking tape applied to the body of the gauge. The three tubular legs slide easily into and out of the bowl making this a very portable and good sounding “top” drum with a range from at least D to G (and maybe A) above. Ludwig no longer makes their machine drum with copper bowls, only fiberglass and aluminum bowls.UR GUARANTEE:We offer a satisfaction guarantee.
