INSANELY RARE Tommy Hawk Travel Guitar hand made by Tom Barth Guitars, Dover, NJ, USA. Tom Barth only made around 300 of these great little guitars before he sadly passed away in 2005. He was a highy respected luthier who designed the Tommy Hawk as far back as 1971; since then his guitars found their way into Scott Chinery's collection and the Smithsonian Museum! This is a rare opportunity to acquire one of these guitars for your collection.Tom Barth guitars are owned, among others, by Bruce Sprinsgteen and Sir Paul McCartney for whom he custom made guitars. They are serious instruments. The Tommy Hawk is a 24 inch travel-style guitar that is a one-piece carved mahogany body (back, sides, neck, and bracing). The solid spruce top, bridge, and top bracing are then glued on-forming a solid, tone projecting little guitar! This guitar is in VERY good condtion and is totally original - some play wear on the fretboard and top; no suprise as this guitar is so much fun to play, with a truly unique sound - sort of between a banjo and a ukulele but 6 strings. There is no case as such but I will ship the guitar in the pictured violin case for protection (the picture gives you a good idea of how small this guitar is).
Collection is preferred from North London but delivery also possible - cash only for collection.  International buyers welcomed, please see Postage & Payments section for estimated international postage rates. Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost.
