Here is a really nice old guitar - made around 1957 I think, with some real history. It has a hand-painted band name ("The Pathfinders") from the early 60s on the front - does anyone know any more about them? The model 457 was the European market equivalent of the President. This guitar therefore has the same dimensions as a President (the deep-bodied version) - the difference just being the neck and headstock inlays and strip rather than individual tuners. It's had a neck re-set at some point and plays well with a replacement ebony bridge. It comes in a very worn but original case - complete with internal decoration (old pin-up girl cutouts glued in!). The case is only really good for keeping the dust off under the bed, but is a nice touch to accompany the guitar. The neck and frets are in good condition, The guitar overall shows a number of minor scratches as you would expect for a guitar pushing 60 years. Just one significant ding on the back edge which has lost a small piece of binding and finish (see pics). This could be repaired better but I never thought it necessary as its not structural in any way and is rarely visible. It will be packed really well as always and shipped next day delivery by UPS - fully insured. Please also take a look at my other listings. I think I have a matching Hofner perloid scratchplate with a Kent Armstrong floating pickup fitted. I will list this if I find it.Please see my other listings.
