For sale is my 1998 Gibson Blueshawk USA (ser # 92478504) semi-hollowbody with two P90 type Gibson pickups. Freshly set up by my luthier. Super light guitar (under 7lbs.). Straight neck. Comes with like new non-original case.
The guitar looks and sounds great. There are a couple of things to point out. The previous owner moved the volume knob to a new hole, leaving the original one empty. I have an extra knob if you'd like. Also, there is an area near the volume knob where the finish looks to have been banged but these do not go to bare wood and in no way affect playability. Otherwise a few minor nicks...nothing big. Blueshawk's unique features include: Body type: Semi-solid - two sound cavities with f-holes. Maple cap over Poplar Neck: Narrow with slight V shape. Mahogany Fingerboard: Rosewood Bridge: Low-profile string-through-body system Pickups: Two Blues 90 with hum canceling dummy coil The '''Gibson Blueshawk" superficially resembles the Les Paul in that the body outline is similar. The Blueshawk was discontinued by Gibson in Spring 2006, and returned in 2015 under the Epiphone brand.
