Visually breathtaking, one of the most luxurious playing feels of any guitar AND easily the most versatile/useful guitar you will ever own. This guitar will do a spot on impression of a Gretsch, Tele thinline, Gibson 330/335 or a big old archtop PLUS pristine acoustic tones and endlessly tweakable electric and semi tones all of its very own =) The now out of production T5s1 was intended to bridge the gap between the T5s (£2,078)and the T5 custom (£3000+, if you can even find one in the UK), for those that wanted a flame maple cap without the fancy fret-markers and gold hardwear. This 'gap' is now filled by the T5 pro, which retails for £2,229.00, if you can even find one in the UK.Maple caps aren't just beautiful, they also add definition to the bass and detail to the higher order harmonics of a guitar. As for the plain fret markers? The fingerboard is such a stunning piece of ebony that it doesn't need decoration.This guitar has been well cared for but has also been played (as it should). There are some very fine scuff marks which you really need to search for, and some very slight indentations to the finish on the top. These few marks/indents are only visible up close under strong lighting and proved impossible to show in a photo. I am only mentioning them to be completely honest.
