Up for sale is a Vintage 1954 Gretsch USA Synchromatic 100 Archtop Guitar . As you can see from the pictures it is a stunning looking instrument that rarely comes up for sale in the UK. Please take into account when bidding that the guitar is over is over 60 years old , the finish has crackled and weather-checked all over but it does have a nice aged look to it. Nice little touches on this model like the Art deco design Bridge and staggered tailpiece make it standout from the crowd. The neck is straight and very chunky , so if you are after slim 60s style profile then this is probably not be for you . There are some slots cut into the bridge to get the action down. This instrument has had work to get it playable which includes what looks like a neck reset - restoration work on the Celluloid binding – headstock refinish which seems to be very common these old Gretsch guitars. The pickguard has has been cut to accomodate a pickup and I think originally the Tuners would have had covers . Considering that a reissue of this model is around a £1000 then this is bargain. Please look at all the pictures before bidding and take into account the work what has been done . About Us
