Up for auction is a vintage (serial number 483221) Holton H-376 Double French Horn. This instrument is in good playing condition, and plays very well. These horns have a reputation for being a bit stuffy and having a somewhat small sound; however, we have gone through the entire horn in our shop, and it plays much better than the average 376. The valves move well and the slides all move of course. As for the aesthetic condition of this horn, there are some small pings, and significant etching over much of the instrument. There is also some rippled scratching along the edge of the bell flare, and the trigger valve cap does not match the other three. The engraving on the leadpipe reads "H 376" and the bell reads "HOLTON/ ELKHORN, WIS/ U S A". The imperfections are visible in the pictures, and none of them affect the playability of the horn. This instrument has been professionally cleaned in our shop, and repaired to full playability. This horn is not lacquered; therefore fingerprints should be wiped off after use if the player wished for the horn to stay as shiny as it is now; if they are not wipes off then the horn will develop a lovely patina. This instrument comes with a somewhat worn hardshell case, and a mouthpiece in good condition.All horns are located at Silver & Brass Music Shop710 N. Curry St. Carson City, NV89703(775) 301-6289
