WARR GUITAR - ARTIST 12-STRING WITH PIEZO & MIDIThis "elite" instrument was purchased in April 2014, and has had very little active playtime. It is like new! It was purchased directly from Mark Warr at Warr Guitars in the US. At the time of purchase, Mark said:
"If you are interested, I just finished an Artist 12-string with 12 piezo and 6 MIDI with custom hand-wound pickups with custom wood shells and knobs. This instrument sounds very very good! This was a custom $5000 order."
The instrument is a showcase virtuoso! The feel and playability is exquisite. I have not had the opportunity to connect the MIDI and so cannot comment on this aspect of the instrument. Several tuning knobs are very stiff! The tone I have been able to achieve is extremely powerful and precise. This package comes with the following: The 12-String Warr Guitar, Strap, Gig Bag and Wrench. The strings have not been changed since its purchase in 2014.It is currently tuned in Classic (Chapman Stick) tuning. Built with beautiful and exotic woods - Body and Headstock top - Curly Maple (tiger-striped), Body Core - Mahogany, Fingerboard - Wenge, Neck - Maple, Mahogany.
