For sale is my Alex Lifeson PRS SE Angelus thinline electro-acoustic guitar which I bought new at the end of 2014 and have played only a handful of times in the house. As you can see from the photos this guitar is immaculate and virtually new.  The guitar sounds incredible, the quality and tone of woods PRS have used give this guitar a big sound over all frequencies...bottom end, mid range and high frequencies all shine through. I'm reluctantly selling a couple of guitars as I have too many at the moment and am hoping to raise funds for a new sporting endeavour. Please check my eBay record for confidence in bidding.  Any queries please do not hesitate to contact me. Some information below regarding the guitar specification.  Good luck bidding! Carrying over unique appointments from the Private Stock Alex Lifeson acoustic, the SE features a thinner body depth than PRS’s standard Angelus model. A “Birds in Flight” inlay adorns the rosewood fretboard and pairs nicely with the unique back and sides crafted from figured Dao wood. Players will find a noticeably warm and resonate tone in the SE Alex Lifeson - even when amplified! An undersaddle pickup with both volume and tone knobs will give you all the control you need from the stage. I was very pleased when PRS presented me with my SE Angelus acoustic, a beautiful guitar of stunning quality.  It was in response to the challenge of building a guitar that shared the integrity and attention to detail that the Alex Lifeson Private Stock Angelus possesses in a package more broadly accessible. The SE Alex Lifeson Thinline is that model. Carefully selected materials, expert craftsmanship and a smart approach to concept resulted in a guitar that is beautiful to look at and rewarding to play." – Alex Lifeson The PRS SE Alex Lifeson Thinline takes his private stock Angelus model and brings it to a price point that is affordable for a much wider range of players. This is not just an Angelus model with Alex's name on it however with a brand new body cut and unique wood choices that make this an excellent choice even for non-Rush fans. Music Radar Review: "It's smartly made, includes a hard case, and has slick playability with a clean, strong acoustic voice. The Lifeson's thinline body may be more comfortable for some, and this combined with its wood choice gives it subtly tighter lows and a bit more upper mid push - a nicely resonant character" Thinline Construction As the name suggests this guitar is a bit thinner than your standard Angelus acoustic guitar. This not only makes it much easy to play and hold for those used to electric guitar but it also helps produce a warm smooth tone. While the top is made out of the usual solid spruce and the neck is rosewood on mahogany the back and side woods are actually made of dao. This wood choice compliments the smaller size of this guitar perfectly by smoothing out the higher end so it never sounds harsh or tinny. Hybrid Bracing System One of the things that made Alex fall in love his original Private Stock model was the fullness of the sound even though the guitar was quite small. The reason behind this revelation in tone was PRS's own hybrid bracing system that really lets the low end come out while still keeping it balanced with the rest of the frequencies. This bracing has found its way into the SE model as well so you know that you are getting an incredible sounding guitar. Mic'd Up or Plugged In This guitar sounds great no matter the environment. In the room and through a mic you have a very versatile tone that responds really well to many different playing styles. From finger pickers to hardcore strummers there is a character about this guitar that you are sure to love. However it also sounds fantastic when plugged in as well with the on-board under saddle pickup and preamp. This pickup really keeps the character of your guitar when it goes into your amplification system of choice.
