Tama 8X14, 9 ply 6mm birdseye maple snare drum with PAT30 omni-tune lugs and die cast hoops. This drum is warm, sensitive AND powerful. Honestly it sounds incredible. I've played many, many maple tama snares from this era, and something about this one is just special. It's got a little extra low end and sounds super fat when tuned low. Of course, with the die cast hoops, it has a helluva crack when you tune it up higher. I really can't say enough about this beauty.
The only issue is the paint missing from the badge, but I would trade badge paint for this eargasm any day. It looks great with the amber finish anyway! Don't miss this crazy-sexy drum!
