On offer is a new Deering Terry Baucom, Artist Series, Bluegrass 5-string banjo. With the Deering deluxe hardshell case. Comes with the full Deering Lifetime warranty.
This is a new banjo, built in December of 2012; never displayed and in original Deering case. (completed and shipped to The Twelfth Fret roughly March of 2013)
This banjo is what is commonly referred to as New-Old-Stock. It has been in storage and never sold. With over 200 banjos in stock I have simply overlooked this banjo as I put more out on display. Since banjos have no "best before date" I don't make any special effort to sell older serial number models.So we are selling this specific banjo at 2013/2014 prices: one only, serial 12007011O070 ( see the photo of the warranty card )

Full setup is included: Nut height, head tension set at A, capo tacks installed at 7, 9 and 10th fret, action adjusted to 5/64 and complete check-over.
Note: the Baucom banjo is specifically designed to meet Terry Baucom's needs and unlike virtually all the banjos we sell where the head is tensioned to a G#...the Baucom head is tensioned to A.Normally a head tensioned to A would be bright but lacking in bass. But the unique design mods of this banjo: deeper resonator, Black walnut neck, resonator / tone ring modifications, enhanse bass response.The net-effect is a really full and "growly" bass response which suits Terry's playing style...AKA the Duke of Drive !!
You get this banjo in fully playable condition – not just out of the box. As with all of our banjos, it is thoroughly set up to professional standards.
If you have particular setup needs, I invite you to correspond directly with me by email and I will make whatever changes are needed to suit your right hand attack and action requirements.
If you are within driving distance, there is no-charge for follow-up setup and service on any new or used banjo for a full year.

The Deering Terry Baucom banjo construction notes: Neck and resonator is clear, straight grained Black Walnut, finished with gloss lacquer. The Deering neck is carved to the standard Deering slim C profile neck.
The Deering pot features the Deering massive standard flange, Deering tension hoop and tailpiece with Deering's unique "Aught Six" or '06 cast bronze tone ring fitted to a red maple rim. Several slight dimensional modifications are specific to the Baucom modelThe unique combination of tonering-flange-rim fitted to the Baucom deep pre-war style resonator gives that classic Deering sustain, upper fret clearity and power; ....but with a fatter and more growly extended bass response.The Terry Baucom is a "work-horse banjo" played by professionals world wide. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
