SPLENDIDE et RARE TARAGOT Jozsef SCHUNDAHistoriquement le tárogató était une sorte de hautbois avec une anche double, un alésage conique et aucune clef. Cet instrument est connu dès le 15ème siècle ; c’était un des symboles de la Hongrie.C'est Venzel Jozsef Schunda qui a inventé et mis au point, vers 1890, la version moderne du taragot : Il a modifié l'instrument, y a ajouté des clefs et l'anche double a été remplacée par un bec utilisant une anche simple, comme sur une Clarinette ou sur un saxophone . Son alésage conique est semblable à celui du saxophone soprano. L'instrument est généralement réalisé en bois de fruitier, parfois en grenadille et il a un son à mi chemin entre le cor anglais et le saxophone soprano (CF http://treujenngaol.over-blog.net/article-2399845.html).En l’occurrence, ce taragot en sib est un rarissime exemplaire réalisé par Venzel Jozsef SCHUNDA, luthier à Budapest. Il date de la fin 19° ou début 20°.Il est vraiment d'une grande beauté ; toutes les pièces sont d'origine, du bec en bois de grenadille, à son couvre-bec et sa ligature jusqu'au coffret antique qui l'abrite avec sa petite clé ouvragée ; quant à l'instrument proprement dit, il est en bois de poirier de très belle facture, sans fente ni manque.Son état exceptionnel, malgré son âge, témoigne du soin extrême qui lui a été prodigué et de la qualité des matériaux qui le composent. A noter la présence, rare, d'un barillet en buis.Les armoiries de la Hongrie ainsi que l'inscription "SCHUNDA V. J. BUDAPEST" sont gravés sur le corps du haut, celui du bas et sur le pavillon.Un instrument digne d'un musée !Il a été entièrement rénové :Les tenons ont été équipés de liège pour une meilleure étanchéité.Tous les tampons "Martin Chanu"sont neufs, en cuir blanc et le bouchage a été contrôlé avec soin ; la clé d'octave a été équipée d'un tampon en liège.Les clefs et les viroles ont été polies et sont rutilantes.Le bois a été nettoyé et huilé à l'huile d'abrasin.Un bec de clarinette en mib, plus ouvert et plus facile d'émission, a été adapté à cet instrument et sera fourni en supplément.En parfait état de jeu, très belle sonorité sous réserve que l'acheteur soit rompu au jeu de cet instrument difficile.Frais d'envoi de 25,80 € pour la France en colissimo recommandé avec une assurance max de 1000 €.Frais d'envoi pour l'europe : 32,50 € en colissimo international recommandé avec l'assurance max de 1000 €.Les frais de port à l'international autre que l'Europe seront calculés en fonction de la destination avec une assurance adaptée au prix d'achat.Historically, the "tárogató" was a kind of oboe with a double reed , a conical bore and no key . This instrument is known from the 15th century ; it was a symbol of Hungary.It's Venzel Jozsef SCHUNDA who invented and developed, around 1890 , the modern version of taragot : He modified the instrument, added keys and the double reed was replaced by a mouthpiece using a single reed, like a clarinet or a saxophone . It has a similar conical bore that the soprano saxophone . The instrument is generally made of fruit tree wood, sometimes Grenadilla and has a sound halfway between the english horn and soprano saxophone.In this case, this extremely rare Bb taragot has been manfactured by Jozsef Venzel SCHUNDA, instrument maker in Budapest. It dates from the late 19th or early 20 th.It is really magnificent ; all parts are original : the grenadilla mouthpiece, the mouthpiece cap and ligature and the old case with its small carved key ; the instrument itself is made of beautiful pear wood without crack or damage.It is in exceptional condition , despite his age. Note the rare presence of a boxwood barrel.The coat of arms of Hungary and the inscription " J SCHUNDA V. J. BUDAPEST " are engraved on the upper body, the lower body and on the bell.An instrument worthy of a museum !It has been fully refurbished :New tenons corks has been installed.All pads "Martin Chanu " are new, in white leather, carefully adjusted ; a cork pad has been applied on the octave key.Keys and rings have been polished and are shiny .The wood has been cleaned and oiled with tung oil .An Eb clarinet mouthpiece , more open and easier to play, has been adapted to this instrument and is provided extra.In playing condition, very beautiful sound, provided that the buyer is used in playing this difficult instrument.Shipping for Europe is 32,50 € by International Colissimo with an insurance max of 1000 €.The international shipping cost to other continents than Europe will be calculated according to the destination with adequate insurance.
