1946 Vega Triumphal vintage six string lap steel electric guitar SN# 46 298Original 1946 Vega solid maple six string lap steel. This guitar was manufactured by Vega a Boston USA company in 1946 right after World War II. This was a time when manufacturing in the US was taken seriously. This instrument is 70 years old. The pot date code is 140 610, which should read the tenth week of of 1946. The serial number on the top of the headstock reads 46 298. This guitar is solid and original. It does have a few minor finish dings here and there but no major damage or flaws. Pickup, controls, wiring, hardware, tuners, finish etc. are original. Fretboard looks like Brazilian rosewood. This is the rare natural flamed maple finish version. These are very well respected lap steels with a great sounding pickups. It does not have a case. Guitar will be insured and packed with care.
