This is the good one. I have loved this pre for over 17 years now but it is time to move forward with some other gear... tube mono Reference pre. Manley VTL, made in Chino, CA. The original Manley stuff made by vacuum tube logic. This pre is gorgeous build, great sounding, and this is a steal at this price because I got it for a good deal also. Has been at studio G Brooklyn since about 1998. Cared for by a tech, used by professionals. The variable feedback makes it very flexible. 48v phantom, tube, tone. Has been on records by people like tom waits, Aaron Neville, lettuce, black keys, and many many more. This exact unit. Thanks for checking this out!
